About Doing It Wright Festivals
Who We Are
Doing It Wright Festivals (DIW Festivals) is a live event production company creating music festivals, car culture experiences, and multi-day cultural activations that celebrate hip-hop heritage, automotive culture, and community. Operating as part of the Wright Holding family of companies alongside Music Cars & Kulture, DIW Festivals produces events where music, cars, and culture collide authentically.
Founded by Stan Wright with over 25 years of festival production experience, DIW Festivals specializes in creating accessible, family-friendly events that honor cultural roots while providing platform for emerging and legendary artists alike.
What We Do
Festival Production & Management
DIW Festivals handles complete festival production from concept to execution:
• Site selection, venue negotiation, and permitting
• Talent booking and artist coordination (headliners to emerging acts)
• Production infrastructure (stages, sound, lighting, video)
• Festival operations and day-of-show management
• Vendor coordination and sponsor activation
• Marketing, ticketing, and audience development
Music & Car Culture Integration
DIW Festivals creates unique experiences where music festivals meet car culture—combining live performances with car shows, custom build showcases, lowrider cruises, and automotive lifestyle activations. Our events celebrate the authentic connection between hip-hop and car culture that's existed since the beginning.
Multi-Market Strategy
We produce festivals across diverse markets—from urban centers to resort destinations—tailoring each event to its community while maintaining consistent quality and cultural authenticity.
Current Productions:
• Maui Lani Fest – Annual music and culture festival in Maui, Hawaii (keiki/family-focused, 8,500 capacity)
• Straight Out The Garage Tour Events – 12-city tour with car club-hosted events and live performances
• Regional Festival Activations – City-specific events celebrating local music and car culture scenes
Artist Platform Building
DIW Festivals doesn't just book acts—we build career platforms. Through partnerships with Frequency Fish Management and Music Cars & Kulture, we provide emerging artists with festival stages, content capture, audience development, and cross-promotional opportunities that extend beyond a single performance.
Our Approach
Accessibility First
DIW Festivals creates events that real communities can afford and access. We balance production quality with ticket pricing that doesn't exclude the very audiences who built the culture we're celebrating. VIP experiences exist, but general admission is always accessible.
Family-Friendly Programming
Many of our events are designed for multi-generational attendance—keiki (children) welcome, family activities integrated, and safe environments where parents can bring their kids to experience live music and car culture together. Legacy is about passing culture to the next generation, not gatekeeping it.
Local Partnerships
Every DIW Festival is built in partnership with local communities, venues, promoters, and cultural stakeholders. We don't drop into cities as outsiders—we collaborate with those who know the market, respect the culture, and want to see their community elevated.
Cultural Authenticity
DIW Festivals celebrates real culture—not manufactured trends. Our lineups feature artists with genuine cultural significance, our car shows spotlight builders who've been grinding for decades, and our activations honor heritage while creating space for innovation.
Our Values
Accessibility – Real communities should be able to afford the festivals celebrating their culture
Family – Multi-generational experiences where parents and kids create memories together
Authenticity – Real artists, real builders, real culture—no manufactured hype
Community – Local partnerships and collaboration with stakeholders who know the market
Legacy – Passing culture to the next generation through inclusive, educational experiences
Excellence – Professional production quality that respects the culture and audience
What Makes DIW Festivals Different
We Integrate Music & Car Culture Authentically
Hip-hop and car culture have been connected since the beginning—from Eazy-E's lowriders to modern artists building custom collections. DIW Festivals doesn't force that connection as a marketing gimmick; we amplify what's already authentic by creating events where both cultures naturally coexist.
We Build Sustainable Festival Models
DIW Festivals operates on realistic budgets, transparent partnerships, and sustainable revenue models. We don't chase unrealistic attendance projections or overextend on talent budgets. We build festivals that can return year after year, growing organically with their communities.
We Prioritize Multi-Generational Audiences
Our festivals aren't age-restricted club experiences—they're family-friendly cultural celebrations. Parents can bring their kids. OGs can connect with the next generation. Culture gets passed down, not locked away.
We Provide Artist Development Platforms
Through integration with Frequency Fish Management and SOTG productions, DIW Festival stages become career-building opportunities—not just one-off performances. Content capture, social media amplification, documentary features, and cross-promotional opportunities extend the value of every festival appearance.
Leadership
Stan Wright – Founder & Executive Producer
Stan Wright founded Doing It Wright Festivals with over 25 years of festival production experience spanning hip-hop, R&B, and cultural events. As founder of Wright Holding, LLC, Stan oversees DIW Festivals alongside Music Cars & Kulture, Straight Out The Garage, Frequency Fish Management, and Maui Lani Fest—creating an integrated ecosystem where festivals, documentary content, artist management, and car culture platforms support each other.
Stan's festival production philosophy centers on accessibility, community partnership, and cultural authenticity—producing events that honor heritage while providing sustainable platforms for artists and builders to reach national audiences.
Festival Philosophy
Do It Wright = Do It Right
The name says it all: Doing It Wright Festivals means doing it right—respecting the culture, honoring the artists, serving the community, and delivering professional production quality without exploitation or compromise.
We measure success not just in ticket sales, but in:
• Community feedback and local support
• Artist career impact and platform value
• Multi-generational attendance and family engagement
• Sustainable partnerships and annual return potential
• Cultural preservation and legacy documentation
Festival as Cultural Preservation
Every DIW Festival includes documentation—whether through SOTG film crews capturing performances and car shows, professional photography preserving moments, or social media content extending the festival's reach beyond attendees. We believe festivals aren't just weekend events—they're cultural moments worth preserving.
From Local to National
DIW Festivals starts local—partnering with communities, respecting regional culture, and building authentic connections. But through integration with MCK's documentary platform and Frequency Fish's artist management, local festivals become pathways to national exposure. Performances get captured for SOTG episodes. Car shows get featured in documentary series. Local artists gain access to broader touring networks.
